Requirements

Preferred qualifications include BICSI Installer 2 Fiber certification and over three years of structured cabling installation experience, with at least one year of experience specifically in fiber splicing roles or related construction. Proficiency in single and ribbon fiber splicing, ISP, and OSP projects is required, alongside knowledge of EXFO OTDR and OLTS testing, and the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and distinguish color codes.

Responsibilities

As a Fiber Splicer at E2 Optics, the individual will be responsible for following safe work practices, terminating, splicing, and troubleshooting fiber optic cables, including high-count OSP fibers, while reading and interpreting splice records, floorplans, and blueprints. They will also support installation activities such as cable routing, labeling, and bonding, proactively maintaining organized job sites and addressing hazardous conditions. Furthermore, the role involves furcating large strand-count fibers and performing break fixes, demonstrating a strong attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines within a supportive and inclusive work environment.
