Responsibilities

  • Performs repairs and maintenance in utilities, facilities, or on machines and equipment
  • Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration
  • Manage HVAC equipment: Chillers, Air Handling units, pumps, etc., through Building Automation system (BAS)
  • Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment
  • Uses hand and power tools
  • Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment
  • Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications
  • Monitors program/project/system status, budgets, and timetables
  • Applies knowledge of and experience in company operations to assist in the development
  • Gathers and compiles information for reports
  • Provides technical support, which may include program/system training, program/system documentation, data extraction, data review, tracking, and coding
  • Documents tasks, repairs, and maintenance activities through CMMS and service platforms (SAP and Service Now)
  • Ability to manage many clients at a time, utilities equipment, electrical main distribution panels, emergency generators, etc
  • Utilizes Building Automation (BAS) to remotely control Air Handling units
  • Promotes employee awareness/training on matters of environmental, health, and safety
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical and mechanical infrastructure in facilities
  • Installs, operates, monitors, and maintains utilities, including HVAC setup, maintenance and balancing, WFI (water for injection), purified water, and process equipment
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical equipment and systems in accordance with SOPs, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies
  • Develops, maintains, and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools
  • Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies as required to streamline processes and increase efficiency
  • Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve facilities processes
