Experience in recruiting, training, coaching, evaluating staff, administering discipline, and managing labor hours/budgets
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and work with minimal supervision
Proficiency in establishing and maintaining relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance (e.g., certificates of insurance)
Knowledge of asset management, including selection, purchase, inventory control, equipment life cycles, warranty claims, and budgeting
Understanding of food safety regulations (USDA, FDA, GMPs) and ability to partner with QA/sanitation teams
Experience in vehicle maintenance, documentation, certifications, and conformance with manufacturer services

Responsibilities

Direct and monitor associates for building, grounds, sanitation, refrigeration systems, power industrial equipment, and security maintenance
Oversee operation, monitoring, and maintenance of refrigeration systems to meet temperature standards and prevent product loss
Manage, assign, and oversee facility operations activities and capital projects, minimizing impact on operations
Lead creation of a safety culture, ensuring injury-free operations for all associates
Recruit, train, coach, evaluate staff performance, administer discipline, manage labor hours, schedules, and budgets
Establish and maintain relationships with third-party vendors (e.g., utilities, refrigeration, janitorial, pest control, security)
Oversee selection, purchase, utilization, inventory control of assets (e.g., racking, material handling, refrigeration, fuel, shop equipment); monitor life cycles and recommend replacements/upgrades
Partner with QA and sanitation teams for food safety compliance, facility cleanliness, inspections, pest control, and allergen management
Ensure all company-owned vehicles are in proper working condition through maintenance and oversight
Optimize workflows using CMMS and automation technologies; partner with third-party providers; implement sustainability initiatives
Lead and develop fleet and facilities operations/maintenance team; ensure regulatory compliance and proactive maintenance
