Requirements

3+ years of experience working in operations and maintenance of a commercial property
Demonstrated strong computer skills
Proven communication skills and ability to deal tactfully and efficiently at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills
Previous experience with operational safety requirements in a critical environment and ability to apply and follow procedures and requirements per regulatory bodies
High School Diploma (College Degree preferred)
Ability to walk long distances, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally, use ladders or other lifting devices, and perform physical tasks including standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance activities varying with area of assignment, including set-ups for departmental meetings in multiple buildings and facilities
Inspect facilities and grounds to ensure proper maintenance and a safe environment for employees
Coordinate between internal disciplines (e.g., Electrical, HVAC, Life-Safety, Environmental Operations) and Federal/State regulatory agencies
Survey conference room devices and equipment regularly and keep them in exceptional working order by performing and coordinating repairs and maintenance
Inventory and order supplies, equipment, and materials for projects; determine appropriate supplies/materials, locate vendors, and provide input into budget requests
Answer complaints and questions via phone and email regarding employee concerns
Log maintenance calls into the computer and help assign jobs to technicians
Assist in tracking expenditures on projects and maintain logs/records of work performed and materials used
Oversee maintenance/vendor contracts to ensure work is completed efficiently
Respond to urgent maintenance calls and serve as the first point of contact for emergency calls 24/7
