High School Diploma
Two or more years’ experience in a school or customer service-related field
Must be able to obtain approved employability through the Arkansas Department of Education
Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Exceptional customer service skills
Ability to positively interact with all staff
Ability to create a safe environment conducive to learning
Excellent communication skills and ability to create a positive, supportive, and safe environment for parents, students, and staff
Ability to collaborate with teachers and school staff
Ability to maintain a professional appearance
Must demonstrate an extremely high regard for confidential and sensitive information
Ideal: Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Ability to meet physical demands (frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to 25-40 pounds, standing for extended periods, etc.)
Mandatory availability 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday (optional 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM)

Responsibilities

Supervising students before or after school during the Extended Care program
Ensure the safety of students and staff
Helping to run daily activities and ensure the established schedule is followed
Distributing snacks and supplies to children
Interacting with students, parents, and staff
Assisting with behavior management and discipline
Developing and planning activities for students
Providing homework assistance and academic support
Maintaining a clean and organized classroom/extended care environment
Collaborating with other staff members
