  • High School Diploma
  • Two or more years’ experience in a school or customer service-related field
  • Must be able to obtain approved employability through the Arkansas Department of Education
  • Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to positively interact with all staff
  • Ability to create a safe environment conducive to learning
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to create a positive, supportive, and safe environment for parents, students, and staff
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers and school staff

  • Ability to meet physical demands (frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to 25-40 pounds, standing for extended periods, etc.)
  • Mandatory availability 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday (optional 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM)

Responsibilities

  • Supervising students before or after school during the Extended Care program
  • Ensure the safety of students and staff
  • Helping to run daily activities and ensure the established schedule is followed
  • Distributing snacks and supplies to children
  • Interacting with students, parents, and staff
  • Assisting with behavior management and discipline
  • Developing and planning activities for students
  • Providing homework assistance and academic support
  • Maintaining a clean and organized classroom/extended care environment
  • Collaborating with other staff members
