Requirements
Candidates must possess native proficiency in Hungarian and a strong command of English, along with at least one year of experience in localization QC, audiovisual translation, or subtitling within the entertainment industry. They should have experience with subtitle editing software and web/cloud technology, a deep understanding of closed captioning and subtitling, and a solid understanding of the nuances of subtitle and dub translations. Furthermore, candidates must have a university degree or equivalent professional experience in the translation field, and demonstrate the ability to quickly adapt to workflow changes and possess excellent attention to detail, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and multitasking skills. A Non-Disclosure Agreement is required prior to starting the recruitment process.
Responsibilities
The Expert Subtitle Translator/QCer will be responsible for translating English subtitles into Hungarian, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards. They will also conduct quality control checks on subtitles, identify and correct errors, and provide feedback to translators and editors. Additionally, they will need to maintain a deep understanding of cultural differences and best practices for subtitles and dub audio creation, and adapt to workflow/process changes and updates.
