Candidates must possess 7+ years of full-time experience developing microservices for a SaaS product using languages such as Go, Java, Scala, Kotlin, C++, Python, or Node.js, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems. A deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability challenges, multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies is required, as is the ability to scale backend systems through techniques like sharding and horizontal scaling.
As an Experienced Software Engineer on the Reliability team, you will develop and maintain services to meet reliability and scalability demands, develop and enhance monitoring services, brainstorm and define new features collaboratively with multiple teams, obsess about learning and championing new technologies, constantly re-evaluate the product to improve architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability, act as a self-starter taking ownership of deliverables, utilize and contribute to the open-source community, and communicate effectively with local and remote teams.
