Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling. Proficiency in SQL and Python is required, along with experience working with data pipeline tools such as DBT, Airflow, Redshift, ElasticSearch, Atlanta, and Retool. Familiarity with data governance and data quality principles is also desired.
The Experienced Data Engineer will be responsible for building robust golden data sets to support Plaid’s business goals, leveraging SQL and Python to design and implement data workflows, and collaborating with various teams including engineering, product, and business intelligence to build Plaid’s data strategy. They will also lead key data engineering projects, ensuring data quality and performance, and have the opportunity to carve out ownership and scope of internal datasets and visualizations, establishing SLAs and contributing to a data-first mindset across the organization.
