High school graduate or GED (some college and/or office administrator training desirable)
Seven (7) years or more of diversified thorough experience gained from work in various areas within the organization or similar administrative experience
Computer/PC competent with experience in utilizing general administrative office procedures & practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Teams, Copilot
Preferred exposure/experience with travel-related software (e.g., Concur/CTM Portal Dashboard or related tools)
Ability to anticipate processes and briefings ahead of meetings

Responsibilities
Perform varied administrative duties and designated administrative functions for the assigned Executive (President of AEP's Nuclear Development organization)
Maintain a close and highly responsive relationship with the day-to-day work activities within assigned function
Work independently under minimum supervision and guidance in carrying out assigned responsibilities
Ensure strict confidentiality is consistently maintained for all records, documents, and related information pertaining to high-level executive plans and decisions
Relieve the executive of designated administrative details, exercise judgment, and make decisions within the scope of authority
Exercise problem-solving techniques, face challenges and change with a positive disposition, and ensure sufficient action is taken to support the executive appropriately
Compile and prepare correspondence and reports from general instructions, use independent judgment to follow through on assigned projects, and inspect papers, documents, and calculations for accuracy and consistency
Establish and maintain document retrieval systems
Understand the executive's priorities and business needs to anticipate and proactively support activities, responding to changing dynamics
Represent the executive's office positively in verbal and written communications, managing internal and external interfaces
Relay messages and instructions to subordinates, provide follow-up on pending matters such as requests for information or proposals
Answer inquiries, screen telephone calls, visitors, and incoming mail; direct technical inquiries to proper persons and personally respond to questions
Plan appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements; maintain an accurate calendar
