Requirements

  • Previous experience developing strategies to address evolving compliance risks and new developments in a fast-paced, complex regulatory environment
  • Motivated and driven individual suitable for a management level, individual contributor role in the Europe E&C team
  • Ability to work closely with stakeholders, Legal, Corporate Tax, senior management, regulators (e.g., HMRC), Audit, Risk teams, Business Conduct Office, and HR

Responsibilities

  • Manage and evolve key compliance programs in keeping with the Visa Compliance Risk Management Framework, including maintaining and creating policies and procedures as required
  • Advise on matters relating to key compliance areas, including identifying and reviewing risks in conjunction with Legal and Corporate Tax, and making recommendations to senior management on mitigation
  • Promote and embed a culture of compliance within the First Line of Defence
  • Lead compilation of responses to regulatory requests for information or risk reviews (e.g., HMRC annual risk assessment)
  • Develop and maintain the Risk Assessment and Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), including evolution to an Associated Persons orientated risk assessment and RCSA
  • Investigate potential compliance incidents arising from program non-compliance
  • Support relevant regulatory compliance investigations in conjunction with the Business Conduct Office and HR as required
  • Manage and deliver day-to-day management information reports for senior executives and committees
  • Work with Audit and Risk teams on second/third line testing and remediation activities
  • Lead the development and delivery of tailored compliance training and communication plans
  • Manage day-to-day the compliance mailbox
  • Develop effective relationships between the Ethics and Compliance team and other parts of Visa
  • Provide expert guidance on compliance frameworks, risk management strategies, and regulatory obligations
  • Assess existing compliance programs, identify gaps, and design tailored solutions aligning with regulatory requirements and business objectives
  • Conduct compliance reviews, deliver training, and support implementation of policies and procedures promoting ethical conduct and operational resilience
  • Review and remediate regulatory compliance risks, investigate compliance incidents, recommend and oversee implementation of solutions, and engage with regulators as required
