Requirements

  • Accredited university degree in Engineering / Technologist in Electricity, Electromechanics, Mechanics or equivalent
  • Good electrical and mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn and improve knowledge and skills
  • Analytical skills to identify and resolve problems with Hpump during troubleshooting
  • Effective computer skills with competence in basic Microsoft Office programs
  • Customer-focused culture, communication, interpersonal relationships, and teamwork
  • Ability to communicate professionally with clients and build good relationships
  • Good team player with strong communication skills
  • Good knowledge of HSE requirements and adherence to safety policies and procedures
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination required before starting work
  • Frequent domestic travel and time away from home, sometimes with little notice (Desirable: >1 year experience in horizontal pumping systems (Hpump), Artificial Lift tools/equipment)
  • Experience in the electrical field for Oil & Gas industry operations (Desirable)
  • Certification in Conte categories 3,4,5, Conatel or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Basic to intermediate English level (Desirable)
  • Experience with rotating machines (Desirable)
  • Experience in Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) (Desirable)
  • Proficiency in PLC platform programming (Desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the field service team confidently, ensuring positive results for the client
  • Perform effectively in a team environment, focused on safe task execution
  • Perform installation and maintenance of Horizontal Pumping (Hpump), potentially unsupervised
  • Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting horizontal pumps to maximize well productivity and system lifespan
  • Undertake frequent domestic travel assignments and time away from home, sometimes with little notice; handle special projects as assigned
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, legal compliance requirements, and core values
  • Provide support to Artificial Lift operations, act as on-site expert for clients, handle complex problems/situations, and develop knowledge/skills for innovative client solutions in coordination with field supervisor, platform operators, and Baker Hughes policies/procedures
