Thorough understanding of environmental laws and regulations (e.g., NPDES, NEPA, RCRA, CWA, Phase I & II ESA)

Responsibilities

Assist and coordinate the Environmental Compliance group in multi-media sampling, subsurface investigations, sediment and waste characterization, ESA activities, NEPA, and permitting
Develop and execute technical scopes of work and budgets for proposals and reports
Collaborate with teams to deliver innovative solutions in environmental sciences, develop strategic approaches to operational efficiency and quality control, and work with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal departments
Produce high-quality documentation conveying Compliance Service scopes from NPDES permitting, environmental compliance regulations, and technical data
Lead implementation of environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, environmental permitting, and multi-media sampling projects
Review and interpret data, and prepare reports and work plans
Create and review project proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for compliance projects
Lead environmental projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline requirements
Provide departmental support such as standard work, creative communications, and presentations
Mentor and train staff to enhance skills and knowledge of environmental compliance projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
Foster a collaborative work environment to enhance productivity and team cohesion
Complete concurrent assignments in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and stay on schedule
Oversee scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation for projects
Review draft documents to ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., NPDES, NEPA, RCRA, CWA, Phase I & II ESA)
Ensure adherence to company health, safety, and environmental standards throughout project phases
Develop and implement quality control protocols
Ensure operational procedures reflect current environmental laws and regulations
Oversee quality assurance and quality control for scientific data and reports
Execute and oversee editing and release of technical materials
Ensure scopes of service and RFP documents include comprehensive costing, clear work outlines, and appropriate technical data
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineers, project managers, technical staff) to meet project deliverables
Oversee collection and analysis of environmental data using appropriate methodologies and tools
Prepare comprehensive scientific reports with data interpretation, conclusions, and recommendations
Present research findings to clients, stakeholders, and at conferences or workshops
Engage in business development and generation of new business
Build and maintain client relationships, understand needs, and ensure satisfaction
Collaborate with government agencies, non-profits, and stakeholders to advance environmental projects and conservation efforts
