Requirements

Candidates should have 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 1 year in an Engineering Manager or people management role, and hands-on engineering experience within the last 3 years. A strong product sense, experience building and shipping market-leading products from zero to one, exceptional communication skills, previous startup experience, and a data-driven approach are essential. Bonus points for experience with Python, the SaaS market, or financial modeling.

Responsibilities

The Engineering Manager will recruit, inspire, manage, and grow a team of software engineers, serving as a tech lead and delivering on functionality as an individual contributor. They will design, build, and maintain user-facing components, APIs, services, and systems, while mentoring engineers through personal and performance management. Responsibilities also include collaborating with product owners on priorities and direction, and building and evangelizing best practices, high engineering and security standards, and continuous improvement of codebases and team processes.
