Requirements

Candidates must possess a strong technical background with at least 7 years of hands-on software development experience and a minimum of 3 years in an engineering management or related people management role. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is desired. Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhere to effective engineering processes, and communicate technical and business concepts clearly is essential. Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and comfort working in a fully remote environment are required, along with a willingness to collaborate with globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of engineers responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable translation features, working closely with product managers and technical leads to define and maintain project milestones and schedules. Ensure engineering milestones stay within scope and are delivered on time by identifying and managing risks. Foster a collaborative team environment through regular 1-on-1s and team activities, support professional growth by setting career goals and providing feedback, and delegate responsibilities effectively. Institute good engineering processes to streamline the development lifecycle and ensure teams meet objectives. Contribute technically to development tasks and brainstorm solutions for complex problems, spending approximately 50% of time on technical contributions and the remainder on people and project management.
