The team is structured into cross-functional product teams (pods), each responsible for specific problems and infrastructure. These pods typically include an engineering manager, product manager, software engineers, designers, and applied/data scientists.
About the Role: Thumbtack is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one of the cross-functional product teams within the Marketplace organization. This role involves partnering with the Product Manager to shape technical and product strategy, define OKRs, and drive execution. The Engineering Manager will also be responsible for coaching and managing a full-stack engineering team (backend, front end, iOS, Android). This is a high-impact, high-visibility position due to the Marketplace team's significant contribution to Thumbtack's revenue growth. Success requires strong collaboration with product, design, applied science, and data science counterparts.
