Requirements

Candidates should have experience with data architecture and patterns for both structured and unstructured data, including distributed big data platforms such as Databricks or Hadoop and relational databases like MySQL. They should possess strong leadership skills, including the ability to provide mentoring and cross-functional communication, and a solid understanding of business needs, users, technology, and value creation.

Responsibilities

The Lead, Data Platform will be responsible for owning the availability, reliability, recoverability, security, and performance of Omnidian’s data platforms, including hands-on data platform administration, participating in change management, ensuring data structures are available, and establishing monitoring and alerting mechanisms. They will also own and lead critical data platform projects, drive stakeholder alignment on the Data Platform Roadmap, establish and continuously improve Data Platform architecture, processes, and standards, and work with partner teams to establish SLAs for data platform administration requests and system availability.
