Requirements

10+ years total experience in software development using C or C++ programming language
2+ years managing or leading teams in a networking or security product environment
Strong understanding of network security concepts (TCP/IP, IPsec, VPN, routing, NAT, DPI, etc.)
Experience building multi-threaded, performance-sensitive systems
Familiarity with DPDK, Netfilter or similar packet processing frameworks is a plus
Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews, and lead delivery execution
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

Manage a team of engineers (mix of senior, mid-level, and junior developers)
Drive sprint planning, estimations, and execution tracking; ensure timely delivery of high-quality code
Balance short-term goals with long-term technical sustainability
Build a culture of accountability, technical rigor, and collaboration within the team
Support hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews for team members
Participate in architecture and design reviews
Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to translate product requirements into robust, maintainable implementations
Troubleshoot and guide resolution of production and integration issues when required
Partner with the Director of Engineering and other managers to align on delivery priorities and architecture decisions
Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and Product Management to ensure seamless integration and release readiness
