Requirements

  • Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum
  • Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems
  • Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges
  • Understanding of the importance of remaining aware of shifting market priorities and ability to respond to internal and external customer needs
  • Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and address issues related to performance and conflicts
  • Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects
  • Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production
  • Ability to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office

  • Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams; motivating and developing project and team leaders
  • Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization
  • Managing high-impact, short and long duration engineering initiatives and projects; ensuring achievement of engineering plan and product quality
  • Maintaining product release plans and material plans; driving programs to completion on time and within budget
