Highly motivated player/coach who thrives in a fast-moving scale-up environment
Metrics-first mindset, familiar with cycle time, throughput, velocity, and how to improve these systems (ideally informed by Gene Kim’s work like The Phoenix Project, Accelerate, or constraint theory)
Enjoy being a technical contributor (PHP/Jquery developer for web application) while balancing IC and managerial work
Experience as part of a PagerDuty/on-call rotation

Passion for the mission, potential, and knack for solving difficult problems

Responsibilities

Act as a PHP/Jquery developer for the web application 50% of the time
Act as an engineering manager for the Web/Services team (team ownership may evolve)
Achieve 80% commitment accuracy in delivery projections, meet Bug SLA turnaround, and ensure high employee NPS scores after first year
Comply with defined security, privacy, and compliance requirements applicable to the role and all Zello personnel
