Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or Science, or equivalent technical experience
  • Typically, minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Information Solutions development or delivery
  • Food and Beverage, Process or Pharmaceutical industry experience
  • English speaking and writing skills
  • SDLC – including AGILE and Waterfall methodologies
  • Programming experience in JAVA, JavaScript, SQL or equivalent
  • Experience with DevOps process and tools such as SVN, GIT, JUnit, JIRA, Jenkins and Maven
  • Knowledge of common relational database management systems (RDBMS)
  • Exposure to common Integration Tools and Transactions (ERP, Automation) using industry preferred tools and technologies (Middleware, JMS, REST Webservices, Camel)
  • Knowledge of common information technology (IT) platforms including VMWare
  • Knowledge of JEE Application Servers (i.e. JBoss)
  • Ability to perform code reviews
  • Knowledge of multi-thread programming, Exception Handling, Logging and Localization
  • Knowledge of the Automation Industry including OPC/LiveData
  • Application Experience: Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Manufacturing Operations Management, Manufacturing Information and Reporting Systems, ERP integration, Process Control System Integration, MOM/MES/IIoT applications including FactoryTalk ProductionCentre (FTPC), PTC ThingWorx, CPG Suite, PharmaSuite (FTPS), OEE applications, Historian, Experience in designing and configuring Mining Operations Management / Production Management solutions (e.g. Delay Accounting, Production Monitoring KPIs)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution and people interface skills
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% and work at customer sites when required
  • Ability to achieve goals aligned to business direction and performance

Responsibilities

  • Applies broad systems engineering knowledge related to programming languages for implementing Information Solution applications in a manufacturing environment
  • Definition of user requirements, functional requirements, technical specifications, software engineering, system configuration, software development, software testing, system installation and support
  • Designs and configures Manufacturing Information solutions to meet customer project requirements
  • Expertise in established development and project execution methodologies and artefacts
  • Key resource for supporting project plan; defines technical delivery scope and supports Project Manager in scope control and estimating remaining technical tasks and effort, ensuring overall quality of the technical system
  • Assist sales pursuits by providing technical support and services estimates
  • Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9001, ISO 14000, etc.) as well as RA policies and procedures
  • Ensure familiarity with policies and procedures relating to standards of business conduct and trains/motivates teams in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of such policies and procedures
  • Ensures tasks are in line with Quality processes
