Position Overview

CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, protects the people, processes, and technologies that drive modern organizations. Our mission since 2011 has been to stop breaches, and we have redefined modern security with the world's most advanced AI-native platform. We operate at a massive scale, processing almost 3 trillion events per day, with traffic that is growing daily. Our customers span all industries, relying on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe, and their lives moving forward. We are a mission-driven company fostering a culture of flexibility and autonomy, empowering every CrowdStriker to own their careers. We seek talented individuals with limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation, and a fanatical commitment to our customers, community, and each other. The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role

We are looking for a Content System Engineer to help develop our content development and release platform, which supports numerous teams in delivering valuable information to our customers. As part of the Falcon Exposure Management team, you will build systems for:

  • Data Acquisition and Transformation: Acquiring, transforming into vulnerability management required logic and format, and ingesting third-party data into the CrowdStrike platform from multiple sources.
  • Internal Tool Curation: Building and managing an internal tool that curates internal (homegrown) content and ingests it into the platform.
  • Vulnerability Remediation Automation: Building, managing, and expanding the capabilities of automated tools for providing vulnerability remediation information.
  • Release System Automation: Building, managing, and expanding the capabilities of a release system to automate the process of releasing data across multiple streams of CrowdStrike platforms.
  • Metadata Improvement: Building, managing, and expanding capabilities for improving metadata for given vulnerabilities and streamlining the process of delivering information to multiple teams.
  • Content System Validation: Building, managing, and expanding capabilities of multiple in-house tools to ease the validation of the content system, its features, and functionality.
  • Continuous Improvement Design: Designing and architecting various models for continuous improvements to ease the release process, enhance data quality, and boost system performance and capabilities.

This team plays a crucial role in ensuring our products provide customers with the best available data to act upon vulnerabilities. You will collaborate with product managers and other engineers to build both internal and external-facing services.

The Platform

CrowdStrike Falcon is a two-component security product:

  • Sensor: A lightweight agent installed on client machines that observes system activity, recognizes malicious behavior, provides on-box prevention, and sends remote telemetry to the Falcon cloud.
  • Cloud Component: Aggregates sensor telemetry for each customer's network, correlates malicious behavior across multiple machines, and presents operations teams with a prioritized summary of detected threats.

The Product

Falcon Spotlight is the industry’s first scanless endpoint vulnerability assessment solution, delivering real-time, zero-impact assessments of endpoint security posture. Falcon Spotlight enhances the unparalleled prevention, detection, and response capabilities of the Falcon platform, leading to a stronger security posture and unprecedented breach protection.

What You'll Do

  • Help define, build, and maintain our Content Management System to deliver detections and actionable information to various teams within CrowdStrike.
  • Work with industry-leading technologies such as Kafka, MySQL, and Elasticsearch.
  • Engage in cross-team initiatives and projects.
  • Troubleshoot critical production and customer issues.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
