Requirements

Candidates should have 8+ years of production-level experience in building, delivering, and maintaining distributed services architecture at scale, with a degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems. Proficiency in Go, Java, Python, GIT, Cassandra, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, Postgres, Redis, and AWS Cloud is required. The ability to scale backend systems, a solid understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges, experience building Graph Storage or other database systems, and strong team player skills are essential. A thorough understanding of engineering best practices, including testing paradigms, code reviews, and resilient architecture, is also necessary, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment. Bonus points include experience with Go, Scala, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, OpenSearch, and security products, as well as authored and led successful open-source libraries and projects or contributions to the open-source community.

Responsibilities

Lead backend engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications across CrowdStrike products. Design, develop, document, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale services. Take ownership and be accountable for deliverables. Triage system issues and debug by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on service operations. Mentor other engineers on web, backend, and data storage technologies and the system. Constantly re-evaluate the product to improve architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability. Partner with product teams in building their use-cases and solutions on the Asset Graph platform.
