Requirements

Candidates should have an M.S. in Computer Science, with a Ph.D. in any field being a plus. A minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience is required, along with a proven track record of implementing strong engineering practices through hands-on coding. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and Scala is necessary, as is experience with data engineering, ETL pipelines, and cloud/distributed systems. Prior experience working with knowledge graphs is considered a plus. The role also requires experience mentoring and influencing engineering team members.

Responsibilities

The Principal Software Engineer will lead multi-team initiatives for the Knowledge Platform, implementing best practices and new technologies to improve the codebase and product. Responsibilities include developing pipelines and services for a large-scale knowledge graph, collaborating with cross-functional teams on AI and knowledge fusion for automated alerting, and developing AI solutions for data quality assessment and knowledge graph updates. The engineer will also work on knowledge graph data access and management solutions, including the use of GenAI/LLMs, and on applications of AI over the knowledge graph.
