Requirements

  • Engineering modern apprenticeship/time served (e.g., City & Guilds/BTEC/NVQ Level 3)
  • Minimum HNC qualification in engineering
  • Proven and validated experience post-HNC
  • Multi-skilled (Electrical/Mechanical)
  • Experience in implementing change, process improvement, and cost reduction
  • Experience working in an ISO13485 certified environment
  • Pneumatic knowledge and experience (essential); PLC experience (ideal); Robotics and automation experience (desirable)
  • Proficiency in CMMS
  • Adhere to EHS policies and procedures
  • Capability to autonomously handle workload
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to learn

  • Perform PMs, calibrations, and servicing essential equipment
  • Oversee contractors, FSE, and service providers
  • Manage personal work requirements
  • Minimise downtime and enhance availability during automation breakdowns
  • Ensure safe utilisation of workshop tools
  • Maintain lab, manufacturing, and workshop equipment
  • Perform changeovers on key manufacturing tools
  • Mentor apprentice colleagues
  • Follow GDP standards
  • Participate in equipment changeovers
  • Lead PPI methodology
  • Maintain operational rigour
  • Show adaptive leadership
