Requirements

  • Expertise in Automation, Process Controls, and Data Historian systems (OSI PI)

  • Technical expertise in data historian systems design, development, installation, testing, validation, and lifecycle support

  • Familiarity with GMP operations, site change control procedures, and site standards
  • Experience with Functional Requirements, Design Specifications, DCS Application Software, and Test Specifications
  • Ability to collaborate with Engineering, Operations, cross-functional groups, Site Area leads, System Integrators, equipment vendors
  • Skills in developing and implementing Automation Engineering Project Plans
  • Capability to mentor process control teams on design, controls philosophy, implementation, and commissioning
  • Resilience, creativity, and collaboration for dynamic project delivery, startup (2025-2028), building organization/systems/processes, and site culture

Responsibilities

  • Provide automation support for operating areas across site and/or capital projects
  • Mentor process control team, including design, controls philosophy, implementation, and commissioning
  • Develop and implement the Automation Engineering Project Plan
  • Technically collaborate with Site Area leads and System Integrator on Functional Requirements, Design Specifications, DCS Application Software, Test Specifications to ensure data historization and architecture
  • Provide periodic status updates to Project Management
  • Troubleshoot issues, make changes to site data historian system (OSI PI) per change control and standards, respond to system events, perform routine maintenance
  • Maintain Data Historian System health and respond to issues
  • Develop standard operating procedures, work instructions, and job aids for OSI PI, alarm management, and alarm notification systems
  • Ensure solutions from System Integrators/vendors integrate with site data historian per standards and data strategies, including developing requirements
  • Design, configure, and test OSI PI platform, including server infrastructure, DeltaV integration, interfaces (BMS/PLCs/Remote IO), Asset Framework, PI Vision, and other solutions
