Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in payroll tax, including at least 5 years of US multi-state payroll tax and 2 years of Canadian payroll tax, along with at least 2 years of experience managing teams. International tax exposure and professional certifications such as CPP, PCP, or equivalent are required, as well as proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese.

Responsibilities

The Employment Tax Manager will oversee payroll tax compliance across the Americas, managing federal/state tax filings, multi-state compliance, and audits. They will also handle SUI administration, equity compensation tax reporting, respond to payroll tax inquiries, provide coaching and training, manage T4/T4A filings, oversee CPP/QPP, EI, and provincial tax compliance, and direct tax compliance for Mexico and Brazil operations, ensuring compliance with international standards and managing cross-border tax implications.
