Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, along with over 5 years of progressive experience in U.S. multi-state sales/use tax compliance and Canadian GST/HST/PST. Strong analytical and tax research skills are required, including the ability to interpret and apply complex tax laws and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Formulas) and Microsoft Access for data analysis and reporting is necessary, as is experience working with NetSuite and SureTax or similar tax rating and compliance systems. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential.

Responsibilities

The Indirect Tax Analyst will manage the full indirect tax compliance cycle, including preparation and review of U.S. sales/use tax, telecom, and Canadian GST/HST/PST returns, along with supporting workpapers and payment documentation. They will collaborate with third-party service providers, maintain and update tax codes in SureTax, reconcile monthly indirect tax-related general ledger accounts, manage tax exemption certificates, support indirect tax audits and refund filings, contribute to special projects, and identify process improvement opportunities or tax-saving strategies.
