Requirements

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in their home jurisdiction and possess 6-8 years of combined employment law experience, including work at a law firm and in-house. They should have working knowledge of employment and benefits laws in Italy, Spain, Serbia, UK, Germany, and France, with familiarity in additional jurisdictions such as Canada, Ireland, Japan, India, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Costa Rica, Singapore, Sweden, and Denmark. Experience or interest in privacy and compliance is also required.

Responsibilities

The Employment Counsel will report to the Chief Administrative Officer, partnering with the global People team to provide strategic advice on various employment issues including hiring, employee relations, data privacy, cross-border mobility, HR best practices, compliance, and people policies and programs. They will advise on employee relations matters, manage employment-related disputes and litigation, operationalize compliance requirements, draft and revise global employment and benefits documentation, highlight legal risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, information security, and accounting.
