Requirements

Candidates should possess an understanding of fundamental benefit laws, regulations, and compliance standards, strong ability to identify and resolve problems utilizing standard guidelines, proficiency with employee benefit plan types and structure, strong organizational and time management skills, along with a demonstrated attention to detail, professional verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency with computer skills and agency management software systems. A Life/Health Agent License is preferred but not necessary, and the ability to work independently and as a member of a team is required.

Responsibilities

The Employee Benefits Compliance Specialist will manage monthly communications email for the Compliance Newsletter, update client data on the portal, deploy standardized workflows for employee benefits compliance, set-up and renew the Health Plan Compliance Calendar, respond to account management team reminders, develop templated client communication, train and mentor account management team on compliance-related items, manage subscriptions to HR California, BLR, Galileo, Mineral, etc., coordinate compliance requirements with the home office compliance team, manage access to online portals, interact with the Account Management Team, and attend conferences to further education/expertise when needed.
