Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Communications, Business, Public Administration or a related field
Three (3) years of professional experience in emergency, public safety, or public health planning
OR Combined education and experience qualifications: An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may be considered in substitution on a year-for-year basis
Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Court Security Officer (CSO) certification and maintain that certification annually
Incumbent must obtain and maintain certification in defensive weapons tactics
Incumbent must obtain and maintain certification as a CPR provider and Basic Life Safety
Knowledge of: Relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions
Knowledge of: Laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules
Knowledge of: Principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
Knowledge of: Emergency preparedness protocols in response to natural and technological disasters, active shooter incidents, or hostage response situations

Responsibilities
Development, planning, coordination, and implementation of the Emergency Management (EM) Safety Program for all assigned Judicial Branch court facilities and personnel to include court clients and the general public
Coordinates disaster response protocols
Provides disaster preparedness training
Prepares emergency plans and procedures for all disasters to include natural (e.g., hurricanes, floods, extreme high winds), or hazardous materials spills, active shooter-type incidents or hostage response situations
