The salary is £20,000 pro rata for the 10 or 12 week placement.
The role requires full time onsite presence to gain hands-on experience in the labs, though flexible working is offered. Most work is conducted on site in Stevenage with occasional travel to other MBDA sites.
You will develop skills in Detailed Circuit Design, Analogue and Digital Circuit Test Techniques, Analysis and Characterisation Techniques, Manufacturing (Machining, PCB Manufacture, Circuit Card Assembly), Test & Evaluation of Design, and tools like Zuken, Matlab, and Simulink.
You will work with a small team of undergraduate summer placement students, supported by experienced engineers from multiple fields (Mechanical, Test Systems, Software, etc.) and dedicated mentors for technical and professional guidance.
Strong candidates are undergraduate students pursuing electronics engineering, eager to apply university learning to real-world missile projects, work in teams, and develop hands-on skills in circuit design, testing, and tools like Zuken and Matlab.
