Requirements

  • BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related degree in engineering or electro-optics fields
  • 3 years of experience in characterizing semiconductor lasers and photodetectors for fiber optic communication (advantage)
  • Ability to work in a team with varied strengths, strong social skills, and passion for teamwork
  • Proficient in English

Responsibilities

  • Characterizing and performing tests of electro-optical components
  • Building and operating test setups with optical fibers, lasers, optics, and electronics
  • Supporting the development of future components and exploring new technologies
  • Ways to stand out (Preferred Skills)
  • Familiar with electro-optical and high-speed lab environment (optical table, light coupling, fibers, and probe station)
  • Operating laboratory equipment such as high-speed scopes, signal generators, and calibration of testing tools
  • Knowledge in electro-optics devices testing including laser diodes and photo diodes
  • Programming skills in MATLAB/Python
