Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ demonstrated experience in transmission line construction, maintenance or utilities industry
Previous exposure to working with overhead transmission hardware, crossarms, or similar electrical infrastructure
Experience working safely in high-risk construction environments
Ability to operate elevated work platforms, truck/tractor winches, and related site equipment
OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card (or ability to obtain)
Current National Police Clearance
Ability to travel to other depots or worksites to complete project work as required
Highly Desirable: Advanced Rigging accreditation (High Risk Work Licence)
Highly Desirable: Cert II or III ESI Transmission
Highly Desirable: CPR and First Aid Certificate
Highly Desirable: HRWL for EWP, Safe Working at Heights, Tower Rescue

Responsibilities

Support the safe and efficient installation, maintenance and repair of overhead transmission conductors and hardware
Undertake ground-based assembly of tools, equipment and components for installation
Perform tasks including cable pulling, lifting and positioning hardware
Act as a spotter for plant/equipment operations
Assist in site set-up, barricading, and safety checks
Carry out housekeeping and general labouring duties as directed
Maintain a safe work area and comply with project procedures at all times
