Requirements

3 years of manufacturing experience
Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills
Some PLC experience (e.g., Allen Bradley troubleshooting)
Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings)
Ability to read and apply knowledge from product manuals to make repairs
Experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing)
Ability to read mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics)
Electrical experience with 480V
Experience wiring 3-phase motors/VFD
Ability to replace like-for-like electrical components and set up Proximity Sensors
Interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment
Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
Perform simple machinist duties
Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
Detect faulty operations and defective material; report to proper supervision
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a few plant production systems and equipment (mechanical)
Perform all minor mechanical rebuilds and assist in major rebuilds
Perform set-up procedures on some production plant equipment
Troubleshoot and repair most mechanical issues on plant production equipment
Understand operation of most auxiliary support systems
Troubleshoot some electrical issues and PLC using proper tools and techniques
Perform additional related duties as assigned
