Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent, along with 5-10 years of experience in electrical component/system design and troubleshooting. They should have experience taking a part or assembly from concept through production, managing deliverables for multiple projects, and working with external suppliers. Experience in the automotive, aerospace, or safety-critical industries is necessary, as well as knowledge of automotive networks like CAN bus and automotive Ethernet.
The Electrical Engineer will specify electrical component and system requirements and lead engineering discussions with suppliers. They will coordinate supplier tooling and production to meet critical vehicle milestones, collaborate with hardware design, firmware, software teams, and system operators to iterate on designs, and conduct root cause analysis for issue resolution. Additionally, they will support the development and execution of validation test plans and work with manufacturing and quality engineers to mature components and support vehicle build and testing activities.
