Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout
  • Hands-on experience with older avionics systems, components, or military/aerospace electronics
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, Mentor Graphics)
  • Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design and component-level troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with DO-160, MIL-STD, or other aerospace standards a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and update electrical circuits, schematics, and PCB layouts
  • Perform reverse engineering and redesign for obsolete or discontinued avionics components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet aerospace industry standards
  • Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of circuit boards and electronic systems
  • Prepare technical documentation including design reports, test procedures, and compliance records
  • Support sustaining engineering activities to extend the lifecycle of existing avionics products
