Proficiency in operation and troubleshooting of Power Distribution, Studio5000 or Logix5000 platform hardware and software, Drives and Motion Control, FactoryTalk ME & SE, Ethernet/IP Control Network, and Food Manufacturing and Utility Instrumentation
Ability to maintain and properly operate electrical testing equipment
Ability to utilize drawings, prints, and instruction manuals for equipment preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
Attains and maintains low voltage qualification within six months of start date
Computer proficiency to input and maintain accurate records and data, utilize e-mail, and online training resources
Active participation in training and qualification programs, assessments, and maintaining consistent qualification standards
Increases skills and knowledge through technical training sessions, vendor visits, and scheduled maintenance activities; attains expertise in advanced E&I technology (networks, servers, FactoryTalk, motion controls, etc.)
Responsibilities
Responsible for the manufacture of consumer foods which comply with all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Understands and supports company and site safety policies, performs work in a safe manner, recognizes unsafe conditions, coaches peers, and suggests new safety standards
Understands, follows, and improves documented operational, maintenance, and sanitation standards in a GMP work environment
Inspects, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation equipment and software
Performs preventive maintenance activities and work orders in a timely manner to maximize plant equipment performance; improves and modifies preventative maintenance activities
Coaches other team members on electrical, instrumentation, controls skills, machine functionality, defect identification, resolution, and equipment repair
Uses continuous improvement tools, including breakdown elimination, to eliminate losses, drive issues to root cause; documents, communicates, and implements corrective and preventative actions
Serves as an owner of one or more technical, safety, or quality systems; builds technician skills and provides ongoing coaching
Creates documentation as needed (SOPs, Job Aids, PM Improvements, etc.)
Maintains accurate electronic database of repair and maintenance activities, including parts usage and time tracking
Assists in maintaining and developing plant drawings and documentation
Facilitates effective shift pass-downs with prior/next shift to discuss safety, quality, and production issues
Leads projects to improve safety, quality, or production results in a designated area
Works as part of a team and assists fellow employees as needed
