Responsibilities

Provide trauma-informed, participant-centered case management of CalVIP participants
Cultivate relationships with project participants to build trust and support from enrollment through discharge/program completion
Guide participants through available services including vocational training, work readiness training, and advocacy for needed services
Provide trainings that reduce barriers to program completion
Provide consistent case management support
Support participants to overcome barriers to employment (e.g., educational credentials, transportation, work-related clothing/tools, record expungement, health issues, technological challenges, child support)
Liaise with existing Case Managers or referral partners for warm hand-offs into the CalVIP project
Liaise with CalVIP Finance Specialist or Project Director for eligibility, fund availability, or utilization
Liaise with External Evaluator for data points, interviews, or project satisfaction assessments
Develop relationships with potential employer organizations in the Los Angeles community for AmityWorks students and graduates
Coordinate intake, eligibility, and aptitude/interest assessments for prospective CalVIP participants
Provide job readiness services including mock interviewing and coaching on disclosure of past justice-involvement or parole status
Prepare, review, and update Individual Employment Plans (IEPs) for assigned participants
Provide employment services including job placement, resume writing, mock interviews, time management, prosocial workplace relationships, and following instructions
Demonstrate cultural competency, community advocacy, and professionalism in representing Amity Foundation
Perform additional duties as assigned
