Requirements

  • At least 5-7 years of recent experience within Employment & Labor Law
  • Master's degree in Employment Law, Labor Law, or Human Resources
  • Forward-looking, able to quickly prioritize and adjust, translates business plan to local country priorities
  • Strong stakeholder management towards key clients within the market on LR matters
  • Demonstrates agility and ability to deal with competing and shifting priorities
  • Brings external labor market insights into internal strategy and has a strong view on external labor market
  • Demonstrated success in managing relationships with unions, works councils, and other employee representation bodies
  • Experience in collective bargaining and navigating complex labour laws
  • Fluency in Dutch (required)
  • English (required)

Responsibilities

  • Resolves complex labor relations questions and provides relevant and effective execution of labor relations services for the Netherlands by applying best practices, interpreting laws and regulations, providing recommendations and consultative support, and maintaining knowledge of labor relations policies and regulations
  • Leads and facilitates communication and negotiations with employee representatives (Unions and Works Council), developing strategies for proactive engagement and alignment with business and compliance goals
  • Develops and delivers consultation on labor relations and compliance related topics, policies, and procedures, ensuring internal partners apply the tools and resources available and align with organizational standards
  • Applies knowledge of laws and regulations and industry best practices, supporting the development of local employee and labor relations policies and procedures to assure compliance
  • Partners collaboratively with human resources and legal partners to assess and mitigate potential risks related to employee and labor relations issues, ensuring adherence to policy, legal and regulatory requirements and ensuring proactive measures are implemented to address any emerging concerns
  • Collaborates with relevant stakeholder groups to stay updated on labor regulations and best practices (benchmarking)
