2+ years prior work experience in courier, freight handling, or similar roles preferred
Current state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record
Must be able to work assigned hours as determined by the manager
Ability to lift, bend, and maneuver freight up to 60 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and sit for extended periods

Responsibilities

Navigate predefined routes via automobile to deliver mail and parcels, ensuring timely and safe delivery
Manage the loading, unloading, and proper distribution of freight, adhering to safety and efficiency protocols
Serve as a critical point of support for dock operations, including assisting with the organization and management of shipping and receiving areas
Perform routine maintenance and operational readiness of delivery vehicles, including inspections and compliance with all safety regulations
Maintain accurate logs and time stamps for items received and delivered, supporting chain of custody requirements and ensuring compliance with company standards
Provide exceptional customer service to both clients and SPS employees, enhancing the professional image of the company
Proactively seek out additional tasks during downtime and provide support across various operational areas as needed
