Responsibilities

Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure proper working order (tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls)
Report any safety issues on standard reports
Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and to the disposal site, following route sheets and service customers as assigned
Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of collected material
Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others
Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them according to procedures
Continuously monitor waste for unacceptable waste
Clean up spills, adhering to safety standards and policies
Monitor vehicle condition to minimize downtime and clean the packer blade and truck body (where appropriate)
Complete route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other required reports
Maintain adherence to productivity standards to ensure timely customer service
Follow all required safety policies and procedures
Actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
