Responsibilities

Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues
Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and to the disposal site, following route sheets and service customers as assigned
Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of collected material at the designated facility
Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely and professional service
Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them according to procedures
Monitor waste for unacceptable waste and clean up spills, adhering to safety standards
Continuously monitor vehicle condition to minimize downtime and clean waste from the packer blade and truck body
Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports
Maintain adherence to productivity standards to ensure timely customer service
Follow all required safety policies and procedures
Actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
