Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related technology field
10+ years in IT and business/industry work experience, including 5+ years in relevant architecture roles with hands-on experience in deployment, systems lifecycle management, and infrastructure and network planning and operations
Ability to lead, working collaboratively with business and IT stakeholders
Strong strategic thinking and communication skills
Experience with cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and modern IT infrastructure and network architectures and trends
Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, and processing environments
Experience in a global or multi-regional organization, preferably in the life sciences, healthcare, or animal health sectors
Desirable Certifications: The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Azure Certified Solutions Architect or similar, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural strategy and artifacts for HR, Legal, Finance, Corporate Communications, and Infrastructure domains in alignment with overall business goals
Create a multi-year roadmap that supports global cross-functional objectives, ensuring scalability and future readiness
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate and prioritize initiatives and ensure business alignment
Lead the design and development of a scalable, modern data architecture that integrates seamlessly with existing platforms and systems
Define and maintain relevant domain specific principles, standards, reference, current and target state architectures, patterns, and roadmaps using frameworks, and best practices
Ensure the solution stack is well-architected, secure, and optimized to facilitate decision making, analytics, and automation
Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities
Assess application and technology landscape to explore opportunities for rationalization
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in relevant domains
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, advanced analytics, AI/ML, and other emerging trends to improve efficiency, security, and compliance
Work closely with business stakeholders and relevant cross functional IT teams to understand requirements and translate them into architectural patterns
Facilitate cross-domain collaboration to address complex challenges and optimize enterprise-wide architecture
Provide guidance and mentorship to developers, analysts, and other technical teams
Working with stakeholders lead the governance processes to manage and maintain the relevant domain architectures, ensuring data privacy, compliance, and security standards are adhered to globally
Promote the Enterprise Architecture process, outcomes, and results to the organization and leadership
Manage relationships with key vendors and technology partners to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions and that products are effectively used
Work with domain leadership to approve allocation of budget to meet architectural initiatives critical to business/mission success
