Requirements
- Licensed pharmacist (implied by role and responsibilities)

- Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills, including company-required trainings and CMEs
- Understanding and compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, professional standards, ethical principles, CVS Health policies/procedures, and controlled substance requirements
Responsibilities
- Live CVS purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
- Travel district to fill pharmacist shifts, oversee pharmacy, and serve as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts
- Support safe/accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team on workflow procedures and safety guardrails
- Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, coaching team, collaborating with healthcare team, and resolving insurance/medication issues
- Proactively offer/deliver immunizations and support Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize
- Manage pharmacy inventory by following and guiding team on best practices, especially cold chain protection
- Remain flexible for scheduling/business needs and contribute to safe, inclusive, engaging team dynamic
- Actively seek opportunities to expand knowledge to better support patients
- Support access to care and improve outcomes through clinical services like testing/prescribing (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception) where permissible; empower team for holistic care
