Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be licensed to practice pharmacy in the applicable state. They must have a current registration with the Board of Pharmacy and demonstrate a strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles and practices.
The District Support Pharmacist will cover pharmacist scheduling gaps within the district, working under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader to support pharmacy teams. They will oversee the pharmacy operation and team during bench shifts, assuming Pharmacy Manager duties when necessary, and contribute to safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails. Additionally, the DSP will support patient health through immunizations, engage Pharmacy Technicians in immunization training, and proactively address insurance and medication issues, while also contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy and coaching the team to provide compassionate care.
