Responsibilities

Live CVS Health purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Travel district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by District Performance Coordinator; oversee pharmacy and serve as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during shifts
Support safe/accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team on workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, coaching team, collaborating with healthcare team, and resolving insurance/medication issues
Proactively offer/deliver immunizations and support Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory by following/guiding team on best practices, especially cold chain protection
Remain flexible for scheduling/business needs and contribute to safe, inclusive, engaging team dynamic
Actively seek opportunities to expand knowledge to better support patients
Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through clinical services like testing/prescribing (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception) where permissible; empower team for holistic care
