Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree in Business or a related field being preferred. A minimum of five years of sales experience in orthopedic medical devices, particularly in foot and ankle, is required. The role also requires two years of experience in sales coaching and development, preferably leading direct sales teams. Candidates must be comfortable working in an Operating Room environment and instructing surgeons, with the ability to travel up to 70%, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

The District Sales Manager is accountable for achieving the district's sales budget and managing all activities within the allocated expense budget. This role involves ensuring appropriate distributor engagement and support to build a strong customer pipeline, including surgeon webinars and lab attendees. The manager will also provide case coverage and technical assistance to surgeons and OR personnel. Additionally, they will assist in hiring, performance management, and conversion of sales representatives, and work with the sales force to develop a pipeline of new surgeon trainees and users.
