  • Ability to understand and demonstrate proper technical, equipment, and systems processes
  • Ability to work any shift (e.g., 5th Shift Wed-Fri 5:00 pm - 5:30am, arriving one hour before and staying one hour after)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee shipping operations, coordinating daily shipping and distribution activities to ensure timely shipment and delivery of products
  • Manage and oversee up to 20 warehouse associates, ensuring they work proficiently and safely
  • Hire, train, and supervise shipping department employees, keeping staff well-trained and motivated
  • Coordinate logistics, collaborating with departments to optimize processes, manage shipping documents, and track orders using logistics software
  • Manage the shipping department’s budget, negotiate transportation costs with carriers, and ensure operations stay within budget
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing shipping-related issues and maintaining relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Lead a team to meet operational goals within an assigned department and shift in a 24/7/365 fast-paced operation
