Role Overview

The Disputes Analyst is responsible for tracking and researching credit bureau disputes. This role involves responding to customers and credit reporting agencies to ensure discrepancies are resolved efficiently. Additionally, the Disputes Analyst will investigate and respond to requests for point of authorizations arising from chargebacks and ACH returns, and produce monthly reporting for Brigit’s banking partner in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Review sensitive consumer information, including credit bureau data, personal identifiable information, and customer account information.
  • Manage internal dispute processes end-to-end, encompassing investigation, response, and information verification.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of current policies and procedures, as well as all applicable federal laws and regulations, and best business practices.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in operations, banking, fintech, credit disputes, and/or fraud.
  • Preferred: Chargeback and Credit Investigations & Disputes experience.
  • Preferred: Credit bureau e-OSCAR furnisher reporting experience.
  • Ability to use and learn current technology and software applications relevant to the position.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for accurate review of statements and reports.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be dedicated, self-directed, and reliable.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and agencies applicable to credit reporting, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), is an asset, or a willingness to learn.
