Responsibilities

  • Directly support people’s wellbeing, including daily household activities, meal preparation and assistance, personal care, and social, recreational, and community experiences based on support plan goals
  • Understand people supported's needs, preferences, and interests and respond to them, their families, and others in their lives
  • Under general direction, implement a range of people support plans
  • Provide information, feedback, and reports, including recording charts and completing routine tasks using Melba’s systems and computer software
  • Provide information to colleagues on routine matters relating to supported people’s needs and general house matters
  • Take reasonable care for own health and safety and that of others by working in accordance with legislative requirements and Melba’s OHS policies
  • Demonstrate how actions and outcomes impact clients and Melba’s ability to deliver effective support and services
  • At DDSO1Q level: Contribute to the day-to-day running of the group home and help maintain services
